So just when am I going to start all this then?

With the weekly weigh in, the daily food diary and the giving up of the chocolate, wine and cider? Why Sunday the 1st of May of course!

And just what am I doing here then?

Hi, I'm SneakyPie, a 36 years old who is approximately 100 pounds over weight. I've done Weight Watchers in the past and it was okay, but all of the changes in the plan over the last few years have made it seriously less effective for me. Atkins/South Beach just makes me feel sick and pissy and my Sweetie doesn't deserve that. Calorie counting was working for a while but then I hit a plateau, fell off the bandwagon and gained everything back. I'm a professional computer geek who loves to read so my activity level is about on par with a sloth. 

So I'm going to try something new. I've come up with a set of rules that I think are manageable and common sense for my life and will hopefully be able to make some positive changes in my life. And I'm going to use this blog to keep track of my progress and keep myself honest.
